Paul may have been cool but he wasn't a better singer than the remaining contestants. Paul shold be fine back in his Nashville world with his band and the exposure should really help his career. And yes, you weren't the only one not feeling Pia, as evidenced by her ouster and Uncle Nigel's comments. We liked her though. At least FE didn't have 5 unpleasant teams out of the final 6 like season 6 did. Or anyone like Jonathan, for that matter (the closest were the Weavers, who were at least a "love to hate" team rather than a "get off my TV" team). And there were several likeable teams who weren't all out in the first 5 eliminations (like the Bransens, Linzes, Gaghans). And I'd say the routes of both 6 and 8 were almost equally mono-continent centered (Season 6 barely EVER left Europe). But yeah, season 8 was a boring, failed experiment that I'm glad was only a 1 time thing. I definitely didn't enjoy FE as much as most seasons, but I at least liked it more than season 6. It's very nice finding a place where it's so eloquently explained why Parvati should be considered the best Survivor player ever. When I watched that episode where she played two hidden immunity idols for other people it was one of the most exciting things I've watched on television, I thought that no matter what happened to her after that, in the game, she won the Best Survivor Player award in my book with that move.
